About Me

Hi, my name is Annelise Chastant. I am a student at the University of Mary Washington studying Psychology and focusing on Neuroscience. These topics are significant to me because I have always been interested in the human mind and the way it works. After all, it is such a complex situation that, even with the technology we have, it is still something we don’t know everything about. This website is intended to highlight my academic achievements and the path I follow into pursuing a career in the psychological field and allow me to publicly present myself to the professional world.

Background

I was born in Louisiana but I have actually lived all over the United States; including, Mississippi, North Carolina, California, and now Virginia. Having lived in many different places with many different cultures and lifestyles I see myself to be a very well-rounded and socially knowledgeable person. I believe this allows me to better connect and understand individuals that I react with on a daily basis and, in turn, will help me be the best healthcare professional I can be. I am not sure what I would like to do professionally, however, I am hoping throughout my education process I find things I enjoy and would want to specialize in one day.
